Frequently Asked Questions
Should we bring food?
A sudden change of diet is not recommended as it may cause digestive problems. You are encouraged to bring your pet’s usual feed in a clearly labeled container with portion instructions. Please pack a little extra in case of emergency. Meals requiring special preparation or handling may be charged a special prep charge depending on the level of additional preparation required.
We do carry a sensitive stomach diet that can be provided for $2 per meal for dry food, or $5 per can of wet food if needed. We also carry FortiFlora to help with digestive upset that can be added to your pet’s meal for $1 per meal.
For cats, we have Churu available to help encourage them to eat if they are not eating or want a special treat.
We have top quality Kong Toys with peanut butter inside as well as other bones/treats available for an extra charge as a soothing night treat for dogs. A sure way to keep them healthfully occupied and content all night long. Please request this extra service at check-in to ensure availability.
What should we bring?
Dogs must have a collar and leash with a name tag and cats must be in secure carriers. Every pet should have their usual feed clearly labeled with feeding instructions (specifically: “Fido – 1 cup morning and night”). Please bring any medications in their original packaging with dosage instructions. Please leave dogs leashed and crated or confined to your vehicle until check-in is completed. We have Kuranda beds and blankets for dogs as well as cat beds, blankets and hide outs for kitties so personal bedding is not necessary.
Do you give medications?
Of course, and at no extra charge for up to two medications twice a day. Must be in their original package or veterinary pill vial with clear labeling with pet’s name & dosage instructions. Additional fees apply for more than two medications or extraordinary health care requirements. Please call us to discuss.
Do you take un-altered pets?
Yes. We take pets who are not spayed or neutered under the age of 1 year old. Over the age of 1 there is a $10 per day additional fee for pets who are not spayed or neutered added onto daycare and/or boarding fees. We must know ahead of time if your pet is un-altered, not at the time of check in. We DO NOT take pets who are currently in heat. If an un-altered pet’s behavior becomes unmanageable, we may require additional special handling/care fees.
Do you take non-social pets?
Yes. We take pets who are not social and offer individual play areas so they can enjoy their time with us in their own private yard. We must know ahead of time if your pet is non-social. If a pet’s behavior becomes unmanageable, we may require additional special handling/care fees.
Do you take recuperating pets?
“Yes” We offer “medical boarding” and will follow basic care instructions from your vet. Please call us to discuss your pets needs before booking. Additional charges may apply for “medical complicated” boarding needs.
